Don Belonax
It was cold, windy, and raining for four of the five games played over three days. Three of our PebbleCreek residents, Ron Flathers, Greg Archer, and Don Belonax, were a part of the Champion team called Git-R-Done, the rest of the players were from California. All of us had to leave on Memorial Day to start the tournament on Tuesday. We finished the tournament with a 3-1 record and most runs to give us home field advantage for the championship game against Balance of Nature. Like all great playoff games, the score went up and back but finding us down 4 runs in the bottom of the 7th. You guessed it, we scored 5 runs to win it! There were teams from California, Texas, New Mexico, and Nevada. The whole organization that puts this all together from coast to coast is Senior Softball USA (SSUSA). Thank you Ron for giving me a chance to join this great group of players. (I indicated who we are by putting the first name initial on our picture.)
