The Parkinson Network of Arizona (PNA) held its ninth annual Walk the Fight for PD fundraiser February 7, 2015, at Tempe Beach Park. This is the largest Parkinson’s walk in Arizona. Approximately 1000 participants walked either a two block or 5k walk around Tempe Town Lake raising over $60,000.

There was also a movement stage featuring three exercise demonstrations: Zumba, Dance for PD and Yoga. Seven PebbleCreek Zumba class participants were invited to perform based on the outstanding performance they gave in November at the National Parkinson’s fundraiser Moving Day Phoenix. Once again they did not disappoint the crowd! The group’s energy had people moving and shaking and joining the dance party on stage. Thirty minutes of dancing to Zumba songs and dancing along with the Dance for PD dancers left the crowd pumped up and ready to walk.
