The PebbleCreek Le Cercle Français celebrated Bastille Day at the home of Gerard and Marie-Christine Courturier. The Courturiers are French nationals, who currently live in Litchfield Park, but are frequent guests of the PC club. The French flag waved in the breeze in front of the house as guests arrived. Founding member Janine Drabier led the group with the familiar patriotic songs, while all conversed in French and enjoyed Napoleon’s favorite champagne with an assortment of treats prepared by members.

The club meets in members’ homes and will be planning its fall and winter schedule in the next few weeks. If you enjoy practicing your French, think about joining us. There are no dues—just good friendships and many laughs. Call or text President George Philippon at 860-985-2459 or email at [email protected] for more information.
