JoAnne Gaudioso
Have you begun your preparations for the upcoming holiday season? Are you trying to keep anxiety and stress to a minimum? Are you trying to find that perfect gift for each person on your list? Maybe I can help you with some natural product ideas that will not only be a fun gift, but also a gift of wellness.
There are some wonderful essential oils that are my “go-to oils” during the holiday season.
Frankincense—a gift brought to the Christ child in the manger. Frankincense is also known as “The King of Oils.” Frankincense is an oil that can be used for many things, including depression or anxiety, immune health, headaches, skin wrinkles, and meditation, prayer, and focus—to name a few. It can be diffused, applied topically, or taken internally. Here is a recipe for a diffuse blend that will surround you with holiday joy.
Holiday Joy
Fill your diffuser with water.
Add:
3 drops Frankincense
2 drops Orange
2 drops Peppermint
Myrrh—Another gift brought to the manger by the Wise Men. Diffuse to help with prayer and meditation. It can also be used to help reduce anxiety and depression. It can be used to treat respiratory infection, sore throats, and mucus.
Naturally Scented Greeting Cards and Tissue Paper
Scenting your wrapping paper and greeting cards adds a wonderful touch to the holidays.
Directions: Allow an extra day before writing out your greeting cards or wrapping your gifts. Choose a blend such as The Christmas Tree Blend, made up of 5 to 7 drops Frankincense and 5 to 7 drops Myrrh. Put 1 to 3 drops of the blend on a cotton ball. The intent is to lightly fragrance the cards. Put up to 15 cards and the cotton ball into a large Ziploc bag, seal, and let it sit for at least 24 hours.
Holiday Fatigue Remedy
This blend is perfect for the afternoon slumps, and is great for use during those times of lots of errands, packing, preparing for parties, or anything else that may bring you to a slow pace when you need to be on the go.
Use a 10ml roll-on bottle
Add 15 drops Bergamot
Add 14 drops Grapefruit Essential Oil
