Ticket sales begin October 6 for annual home and landscape tour

The Home and Landscape Tour Committee is busy working on the final details for the eighteenth annual Fall Home and Landscape Tour scheduled for Saturday, November 8 from noon to 5:00 p.m.

The committee would like to thank the six homeowners who are opening their homes for the tour. There is one home on the Eagle’s Nest side and five homes on the Tuscany Falls side. Homes have a variety of decors such as Western, Tuscan, Contemporary, Eclectic, European and African. If you are looking for landscaping ideas you will find waterfalls, pools, fountains and much more.

The tour program also serves as the ticket for the event and includes a brief description of each home along with specific directions to each home. To further identify each home there will be a yellow cone with a police tape bow at the front of each home. The committee suggests seeing the tour by golf cart as an easy and fun way to travel from home to home.

Tickets are $15 per person and are tax deductible. Donations are always welcome.

All money collected from ticket sales benefits the City of Goodyear Police Department’s Shop with a Cop program to be held on December 6. Children chosen for this event will shop at Walmart on Estrella Parkway with a member of the police department. This program gives these children not only a fun day of shopping, but more importantly a positive experience with a police officer. The Goodyear Police officers will take 20 children shopping for this very special day. The Home Tour Committee has adjusted its charity event to reflect this change by scheduling the Home Tour for one day only.

Hosts and hostesses are needed for each home. Please contact Judy Peterson at 623-399-6046 or email [email protected] if you are interested in supporting this effort and would enjoy seeing the homes.

Tickets sales will be limited to 400 tickets. Sales start on Monday, October 6 and will be available at both the Tuscany Falls Clubhouse desk (Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (closed 12:00 to 12:30 p.m.) and at the Eagle’s Nest Activities Office (Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.). The Tuscany Falls desk accepts only checks while the Activity Office accepts both cash and checks. Checks should be made out to the City of Goodyear.

An additional 10% of tickets will be available via mail order for residents who may be away. Send your check, name, contact information and an address for returning the tickets to you via U.S. Mail. Send the request to Charlotte Krause, 15930 W Edgemont Avenue, Goodyear, Arizona 85395. If a return address is not available, prepaid tickets will be available at the Tuscany Falls Clubhouse desk from 9:00 a.m. to noon the day of the tour.
