Unit Happenings – October 2014

Unit 27 luncheon

Robin Macik

Unit 27 D residents held their monthly luncheon on September 10 at Dillon’s Restaurant. Fourteen residents attended; some are brand new to the unit and it is always nice to welcome our new neighbors. Everyone enjoyed a nice lunch and we learned a little about the various sharks in the tank from our waitress. October’s luncheon will be at BJ’s on October 8. Hope to see some of our residents who have been gone for the summer.

Unit 52 September luncheon

Liz Gibson

The ladies who lunch and are in town had a very delicious lunch and wonderful chance to get together on Wednesday, September 10 at the popular Bella Luna Restaurant.

Hosted by Pat Scott, very new resident Ellie Kovach was welcomed and everyone was amazed at the large number of new unit construction. Also, excitement is building for another fun Unit 52 party, the upcoming Oktoberfest October 5 which will be held at Ed and Meg Chrisman’s.

Unit 51 – September Ladies Luncheon

Janet Miazga

As fall arrives, Unit 51 resumed its monthly Ladies’ Luncheons with a good sized group of those who were here in PebbleCreek. During our delicious lunch in the private dining room at Toscana’s, we each shared tales about our summer travels, new grandchildren and other recent events. We remembered neighbor friends experiencing health issues at this time as well as the 9/11 tragedy which was thirteen years old the day of our luncheon. On a sad note, we bid farewell to two of Unit 51’s households – Claire and Ed Juengst and Billie and Jay Gramlich. They have contributed much time and talent to PebbleCreek and will be missed dearly; we wish them well in their new homes! Looking forward to welcoming back many snowbirds at our next Unit 51 Luncheon on October 9.
