Three members of the Rug Hookers of PebbleCreek recently attended a four day workshop in the Westgate area. Sally Holmboe, Priscilla Sharp and June Bennett along with twelve other women from Arizona and California convened for the session with nationally recognized teacher Diane Stoffel who is especially recognized for her expertise in the area of project color planning. Ms. Stoffel travels 34 weeks of the year promoting the art of rug hooking and teaching classes.

Evidently, all was not work during the sessions for on the last day June and Sally were honored to receive wine Sippy Cups for their extraordinary efforts toward having the Messiest Work Area!

One can only imagine the amount of snippets of wool and threads that littered the area.

The rug hookers meet every Monday from noon to 4:00 p.m. in the Diamondback Room of the Creative Arts Center. Stop by to see what is happening. For further information contact the club President DeeDee Abolins at <[email protected]> or at 253-278-1230.
