The PebbleCreek Pickleball Club members elected the club board for the 2021-22 season. Officer terms are one year and will begin May 1.

The new board is: President Nancy Popenhagen, Vice President Jeff Antrican, Secretary Kathryn Villeneuve, Treasurer Sharon Hadley, and Officer-at-Large Tony Wells.

Nancy Popenhagen commented, “Most people know that pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in the world and PebbleCreek has one of the largest clubs in the United States. Previous boards have provided the leadership and set the foundation for bringing the club to where it is today. As new people continue to join the club, we are looking at ways to meet the expectations of all types of players, from beginner to experienced. We will be creating a few new committees and will be asking for volunteers as we expand opportunities for member involvement.

As a board, one of our priorities is to make sure that all who move to our community feel the welcoming atmosphere that our club can offer. In addition, we will be focusing on a comprehensive player development program, social events, ratings, finances, and leveraging current and future technology.

Anyone who is interested in learning the fun game can sign up for novice classes throughout the year. To sign up for a novice class come to the pickleball courts by court number 4 and look for the sign-up sheets in the green box hanging outside court number 5. As a board we are very excited and looking forward to the year to come! Pickleball is fun!”

Congratulations to the 2021-22 PebbleCreek Pickleball Club board.
