Pets of the Month: Chloe and Jubei

Chloe and Jubei found a forever home.

Hi! I’m Chloe and this golden fluff is my son, Jubei.

My mom, Hiromi Bashore, saw an email on the PebbleCreek e-group written by Candy Lawson, looking for a forever home for me and saw my picture. She fell in love with me and contacted my foster mom, Tammy Martinez, of Kitten & Animal Rescue Advocates (KARA). A nice lady, Sue Ann Olsavicky, another PebbleCreek resident who works with KARA, helped with my adoption. When Tammy sent a video of me and Jubei, mom talked my dad, Steve, into adopting him as well. Mom said she didn’t have to try very hard.

Jubei is a strange name you say! Well, it’s not! Jubei is the childhood name of a samurai in Japan from the Sengoku Period (1467-1615 CE) who made a huge impact at that time. Mom and Dad love history, particularly American and Japanese history. Dad decided the name fits my little boy.

Jubei and I perch on the bedroom window sill, sit on our scratcher seats by the sliding glass door, or run around the house and have a ball. We love playing on our iPad chasing a mouse or a laser ball.

Thank you, Candy, Tammy, and Sue Ann! The three of you found a forever home for Jubei and me.

A note from Mom: KARA is a local rescue group. Please support them in any way you can. They don’t just hand a cat to anyone. They go through steps to be sure a cat is going to a good home and good people.
