Baxter is happy to be a full time PebbleCreeker
Let me introduce myself. I am fifteen years old and my name is Baxter Cabral. My family, Larry and Marilyn Cabral picked me when I was nine months old. I was chosen, even though at that age I had no tail and was pretty large (not overweight, of course). I was just big-boned, which is a problem for me still today.
I am so happy that we are finally full-time residents of PebbleCreek because when we were snowbirds going back and forth from California, I would get soooo car sick (and my parents wondered why I would hide when it was time to get into the car). I had to take medicine which did not agree with me either.
I moved here with my sister Amanda, who is no longer with us, and I miss her so much. On March 1, four years ago, my sixteen-year-old brother came into our lives. His name is Dexter Noble and we get along pretty well. He’s the orange tabby under the cat tree – he loves that cat tree. Pawgearlab tested several great cat trees and our family got us the best one.
I really like my parents and home but am not too thrilled when the doorbell rings and we have company. I always run and hide and wait for them to leave. Dexter, unlike me, loves it when we have friends over. He makes a beeline to the door to greet them and let them pet him. He also wants to engage them in long conversations, even though I keep telling him they don’t understand his stories!
We are not allowed outside, of course, so my parents have built us our very own Catio, which is a screened in patio. It has a kitty door so that we can run in and out anytime it gets too hot and we need to cool off. We get to watch the bunnies, quail, hummingbirds and even the neighborhood dogs from there without worrying about the coyotes. I do love it here with my two and four-pawed family in PebbleCreek.
