Feel like playing golf and doing something good for your community all at the same time? That is what the fifteenth annual Knights of Columbus Golf for Charity event on March 28, 2015, is all about. The event takes place at the PebbleCreek Golf Resort at Tuscany Falls, 16262 Clubhouse Drive in Goodyear, Arizona 85395. The event starts at 8:00 a.m. with the Shotgun Start and Four Person Scramble followed by the Hole-in-One Car, Longest Drive Contest, Closest to the Pin, Bye Bye Birdie hole contest and Best Score events. A delicious lunch will be served around 1:00 p.m. The winners will be announced after lunch. There will be 50/50 drawings and door prizes as well, so it’s bound to be a day of fun all around! Saint Vincent de Paul is the major beneficiary of this year’s Golf for Charity proceeds. With your participation, we intend to make this the best golf outing ever! Helping those less fortunate in our society, the Knights of Columbus Council 11675 and Saint Vincent de Paul are profoundly grateful for your continued support!
The Saint Thomas Aquinas Conference of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is a group of volunteers who work to assist the poor and needy within our parish boundaries, The Society members staff an office at the parish every weekday, and take calls from people needing food, help with rent, utilities etc. Every day several calls come in requesting assistance. Members work in pairs to visit people requesting help, verifying their need and bringing them help and hope! The Society members are able to help the needy because of the generosity of the parishioners of Saint Thomas Aquinas.
