Pet of the Month: Introducing Benji

Hello friends! My name is Benji and I am a cat resident here in cozy PebbleCreek! I love the community and really enjoy cat life here at home with my mom and dad, Ken and Norma Klinger. I’m a beautiful fluffy orange and white male tabby. I was 9 months old when my parents rescued me during a Petco adoption day event here in Goodyear! When I looked at them that day, it was love at first sight! I gently reached my kitty paw through the cage to touch my mom’s arm and said “choose me!” My mom will never forget that special day.

I am 2 ½ years old now and having my best cat life ever! My daily routine is pretty regular and begins after I get a good night’s sleep. I wake up early to have breakfast with mom and dad. Then, I like to lay by the window to feel the sunshine and watch the birds and lizards. During the afternoon, I like to take a nap, maybe nestled high on a shelf or curled up in my cat condo. And after my naps, I take time to watch YouTube where dad plays mouse videos for me. I can’t tell for sure, but those mice sure look real and I must paw to catch them! It keeps me entertained for hours!

My parents will tell you how highly curious and independent I can be! There are many nook and cranny areas in my home where I like to explore and climb. I do believe I’ve touched them all! And if I walk up to you, I will enjoy being petted and will “meow” to say hello or when I want something … like food! Oh, let me tell you about food … I love it … especially canned food and delicious cat treats! Cat toys are another one of my favorite things. I get a lot of toys and love them all, but some of my favorites are catnip mice and the fun feathery ones!

Yep, I sure have a good life here! I am a really happy kitty and so thankful for my loving parents who rescued me. They sure spoil me rotten (hee-hee), and I’m so lovable and entertaining to them. We are a perfect match!
