More than 50 members of the PebbleCreek Democratic Club came together at Haymakers for food, drink and fellowship as we watched the early returns on Election Night, November 6. Although some races did not come out the way we hoped and several remained undeclared at the end of our evening there, we felt we had much to be proud of because we had successfully contributed to making the process work more fairly. Grass roots efforts from our members helped raise awareness about the election, increase local voter registration numbers and improve voter turnout. We worked on behalf of candidates and propositions we supported, learned about issues that matter in our community and participated in the democratic system in which we believe so strongly. Over the past year, we have made new friends and more than doubled the size of the club. We have a lot to celebrate and the future looks bright!
