Spring Fellowship Dinner
A delicious dinner was enjoyed by the members of PebbleCreek Community Church (PCCC) on April 1. It was planned by the church Fellowship Committee and took place in the beautiful Chianti Room overlooking the golf course at the PebbleCreek Tuscany Falls Clubhouse on April 1. Members enjoyed a last chance to spend time together in fellowship as a group before the snowbirds leave for cooler summer locations.
Entertainment was provided by C.J. the Magician who has performed several times at previous church events. Volunteers from the crowd assisted C.J. while he delighted diners with sleight of hand tricks using cards, coins, and ropes. C.J. even shared a few secrets of the trade with the audience. It was great fun for the 79 people in attendance.
PCCC is a nondenominational church that meets each Sunday at 9 a.m. in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom. You are invited to attend our services and enjoy wonderful music, solid Biblical preaching, fellowship, and an emphasis on Missions. Phoenix Rescue Mission Presentation
Jim Gillespie
During a recent worship service, the PebbleCreek Community Church (PCCC) had a ”Moment for Missions” presentation from two representatives of the Phoenix Rescue Mission (PRM). They updated us on their programs, and one of them gave a testimonial.
Rachel Dallmann, an organizational partnership manager, presented an overview of their programs. The Phoenix Rescue Mission is a Christ–centered local Mission. They care for and feed thousands of homeless people in the metropolitan area, as well as local children and families facing hunger and poverty. They also offer programs to help overcome substance abuse and homelessness. Their non–residential program, Homeless Outreach Mission Sharing, distributes food and hygiene items to those in need. Their residential programs include the Changing Lives Center for Women & Children and the Transforming Lives Center for Men.
Rachel introduced Sergio Armendariz to the congregation. He is a graduate of their Transforming Lives Center for Men, a current lead case manager for their Street Outreach program, and a full time employee of PRM. Sergio gave a moving testimony of his life and transformation. He was a drug and alcohol addict and eventually became homeless. He came to PRM and was rehabilitated and saved. He found his faith in Christ, and now he helps other addicts overcome their addictions.
Phoenix Rescue Mission is one of many missions sponsored by PCCC. We recently donated $500 for PRM’s Easter Basket Program. We also presented a check of $1,000 from our mission funds to Rachel for PRM to use as needed.
