PebbleCreek Community Church Elects New Officers

PebbleCreek Community Church Elder Board

At our recent annual meeting, PebbleCreek Community Church (PCCC) elected new Elders, Deacons, and Trustees. These three boards serve principal functions within our congregation.

The Elder Board is the governing body of our church. Its members serve both as spiritual leaders and as directors of our underlying nonprofit Arizona corporation. Joining this board to start three-year terms are Inge Chapman, Steve Kirk, and Charlie Newcomer. Each Elder has an area of responsibility for the life of the church, acting as liaison to one of our nine other committees. In addition to Pastor Bob Ripley, who oversees the Worship Committee, the other elders and their assignments are: Joe Arnold (Education), Inge Chapman (Deacons), Rick Kesig (Communications), Steve Kirk (Finance), Mary McFarland (Missions), Charlie Newcomer (Trustees), Susan Preston (Fellowship), and Larry Sessoms (Connections).

PCCC Deacons function to assist church members, regular attenders, and others in need, as well as meeting and greeting visitors to our worship services. In ministering to the congregation, our Deacons coordinate meals for members recovering from surgery or illness, make visits to homes and rehabilitation facilities, provide encouraging notes and cards, and reach out with prayer for all in need.

PCCC Trustees set up the Eagle’s Nest ballroom to host our Sunday worship services and special events, and also operate the audio and video equipment that supports these activities. In the past year, our trustees have also coordinated, in conjunction with our HOA, the purchase of nine benches spread throughout PebbleCreek, and new audio-visual equipment in the Eagle’s Nest ballroom, including the two new ceiling-mounted projectors and screens on either side of the stage. It was our privilege to donate these items to the community.

PCCC has experienced continued growth in attendance, giving, and outreach since the arrival of Pastor Bob Ripley and his wife, Peggy. We are a non-denominational Christian church. The congregation is a blend of various church backgrounds and our ministry is evangelical, Biblically based, and mission-minded. We look forward to welcoming all to our worship service at 9 a.m. Sundays in Eagle’s Nest ballroom, always followed by a time of fellowship.
