Members of the PC Singles Club held an outdoor meeting at Sunrise Park on Dec. 6 where Councilwoman Wally Campbell was the guest speaker. She updated those in attendance on the economic growth and various projects slated for 2021 in and around Goodyear. She reported that a Goodyear city hall, library, a new sports complex (which will include an aquatic center, an indoor walking track, and a senior center) are in the works to be constructed soon. The sports complex will also have baseball, soccer, pickleball, and exercise facilities. She also stated that Amazon just opened its sixth location in Goodyear, bringing new jobs and revenue to the area. Other new store openings include Aldi, Babbo, and Soda Bomb. Councilwoman Campbell is a PebbleCreek resident and has served on city council for nearly 10 years. She is available to help residents who may have concerns, and she can be found in the PC Source Book.

Replacing the annual Singles Holiday Party was the outdoor social gathering at Sunrise Park, followed by a short business meeting. The 2021 board was voted on by the membership, followed by an ugly sweater contest, which proved to be the highlight of the day.

All single residents of PebbleCreek, full and part time, are welcome to join The Singles Club. Although most indoor social activities are still on hold due to the pandemic, information can be found when it becomes available on the PC Singles website at www.pcsingles.org, or by contacting Membership Director Lynne Johnson at 602-793-6857.
