PC Quilters construct Dresses from the Heart

PebbleCreek Quilters enjoy not only the creative process of making a beautiful sewn project, they also enjoy giving and doing for others. The group spends every third Saturday working on a variety of needed items for the following designated West Valley groups: New Life Center, PC Pet Companions Club, Hospice of the Valley, Ryan’s House, Natalie’s House, Abrazo Hospital. In addition to these organizations, members also make items for their favorite individual organizations such as church groups. This winter, Geri Johnson and Pam Scandore set a goal of making 300 Dresses from the Heart that will be donated to the PC Community Church for their boxes that are given to Operation Christmas Child this coming winter.

The PC Quilters decided this was a very worthy project and met together Wednesday, March 27, and spent the day making dresses to assist in achieving the 300-dress goal. Any residents of PebbleCreek that are interested in coming to the Diamondback Room in the Creative Arts Center on the third Saturday of the month are invited to bring their sewing machine and join in the fun of making and giving to others.
