PC Players Win APA MVP Honors

The American Poolplayers Association (APA) is the world’s largest amateur pool league with more than 250,000 members worldwide; APA sponsors family-oriented tournaments across the country and several PebbleCreek (PC) players compete in leagues outside PC. Lynn Warren and Clay Beeson, members of the appropriately named “Golden Oldies,” were recently recognized as Most Valuable Players (MVP) in the APA 8-Ball Spring League, Lynn for skill levels 6-7 and Clay for levels 4-5. These awards were very satisfying since most of the competition was much younger; apparently age is just a number since the combined age of Lynn and Clay is 173 years, proving that skills in pool, which requires both physical and mental proficiency, can persist over many decades.
