Prepare for Summer Heat Now

It’s the first of May and things are heating up. I thought I would remind you of what this heat will do to your car or truck once that sun starts beating down on it. Your interior can reach temperatures up to 170 degrees in a very short time. This can cause dashboards, seats, and rubber seals to dry out than ultimately fail. Check under the hood regularly to insure belts and hoses haven’t dried out and are ready to fail. Keep an eye on the battery as the heat is hard on them. Check the tire pressure for proper inflation and cracks from the sun beating down on them. Keep your cars in your garage and out of the sun. Last but not least, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, CHECK THE BACK SEAT FOR CHILDREN AND YOUR PETS.
