Moving Day, the National Parkinson’s Foundation annual fundraising walk event, was brought to Phoenix for the first time. It was held Saturday, November 15, at the Wesley Bolin Memorial Park in downtown Phoenix. This celebration of movement featured a family friendly one mile walk, kid’s area, caregiver’s relaxation tent and special Movement Zones featuring Yoga, Zumba and Dance for PD (Parkinson’s Disease) demonstrations.

Five PebbleCreek Zumba class participants volunteered their time and energy to party on stage for the crowd while dancing to a couple of Zumba songs. It only took a few seconds of moving and shaking before they had the crowd doing the same! They also invited the Dance for PD dancers up on stage to join the fun! The event raised almost $40,000.
