Men’s 3.5 Tennis Team Succeeds in Finals for League Championship

Vikki Constable and Mike Harter

On March 5, PebbleCreek’s Men’s Tennis Team in the West Valley Men’s Tennis League finished strong in their division, becoming a finalist for the title in the 3.5 Division.

The team has succeeded from last year’s 2023 first place finish with a fine caliber of men, playing in an over50 league with teams from the West Valley.

You would find the men playing on Tuesday afternoons at the Tuscany Falls Courts at 11 a.m. or 1 p.m. during November into early March. If you missed out on their talent, the team will return in the fall for more exciting play, and nottobemissed strength and strategy in mens doubles.

The team came up short in the finals with SC Festival, but still had a great season. We only had two losses, once in the regular season and the finals. The league is an over55 league consisting of eight teams from the West Valley. For the past two years, our record is 23-3, with a league championship and runner-up result. It’s a great group of guys who have bonded over tennis and really enjoy each other’s company. We’ll soon be back to practicing and getting ready for the next season!

Team roster: Mike Harter (captain), Troney Hutchins (captain), Rick Camozzi, Jonathan Colter, Greg Fisher, Dave Frederick, Cliff Hopps, Jim Lewis, Dan Lichtenfeld, Curtis Patchin, Eric Rohlman, John Smart, Tom Walsh, Randy Welsh.

PebbleCreek congratulates the men and the team for a successful season, and we look forward to seeing them hit the courts in the fall.
