Earlier this year PebbleCreek Director of Food & Beverage Melissa Gonzales and PebbleCreek resident Bill Kafitz worked together to perform CPR and used an AED machine to administer life-saving care to fellow resident Eugene Levine. Melissa was honored at the Kare Bears annual luncheon November 11, 2015 in the Tuscany falls Ballroom. Bill Kafitz was unable to attend and will be honored in a separate ceremony. Eugene Levine and his wife Rita Gay were in attendance for the special presentation from HOA Board President John Kiekbusch who also presented Kare Bears with a plaque of recognition for having provided the AED machine used. In fact, Kare Bears has supplied all the AED units in PebbleCreek, so this luncheon that celebrated the 20 year anniversary of this wonderful service organization seemed a most appropriate place to recognize these true heroes.
