The Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) will bestow one of the highest honors possible to Paul McGinnis, CGCS (Certified Golf Course Superintendent) at a ceremony in early 2016. Paul has been selected to receive the association’s 2016 Colonel John Morley Distinguished Service Award for his outstanding, substantive and enduring contributions to the advancement of the golf course superintendent profession, making him truly a living legend.

Paul served on the Board of Directors of the GCSAA for eight years and was the National President of the Association in 1997, a prestigious and important role. He was also inducted into the Arizona Golf Hall of Fame. A humble man indeed, many people here in PebbleCreek are not aware of Paul’s history or credentials; that he is a nationally sought-after speaker on Golf Course Maintenance and that he is part of a legacy of excellence in the industry.

As Director of Golf Maintenance, Paul’s expertise and innovative contributions to our community are unmatched. He has been serving in his role here at PebbleCreek since 1999 and we are indeed fortunate to have someone of his caliber as part of our professional staff. Paul lives in Peoria with his wife Kendra. They are the proud parents of four daughters and 14 beautiful grandchildren.

Paul will be recognized in a special ceremony at the massive 2016 Golf Industry Show in San Diego on February 9. I hope all PebbleCreek residents who know or see Paul will join the HOA Board and staff in congratulating him on this extraordinary achievement.
