If you believe in the old adage “build it and they will come,” Joanne Benz and Maggi Maas went out to prove that point. At a time when restaurants are limiting the number of people for luncheon functions, Joanne and Maggi convinced Carrabba’s Italian Grill they needed to seat more than the usual 20 people for lunch in order to accommodate the 40 Italian American Club members who had signed up for this May luncheon. Disappointed they were not! Christian, the restaurant manager, went out of his way to not only set the room up to accommodate that many people, but had staffed it with cooks and waitresses who did a wonderful job in preparing and serving excellent food.
