Charlie Allport Scores Second Ace at Tuscany Falls West

Bob Stratton

On Sept. 26, 2026, Charlie Allport made a hole-in-one on hole number 5 at Tuscany Falls West.  This was Charlie’s second career hole-in-one. He made it while playing in his regular golf group, the Bunker Boys.

The 5th hole was playing 128 yards from the white tees to a left middle pin position. Charlie’s playing partners were Graham Hume and Dan Zuhlke. Charlie hit a knock down 8 iron clean as all players watched in awe as the ball struck the green and casually rolled towards the pin and disappeared in the hole!

As background, Charlie and his wife Nadine moved to PebbleCreek in June of 2025 from San Ramon, Calif. Charlie recently retired after 35 years as an executive in the contract staffing industry.

Charlie has been playing golf for over 50 years, with a double digit handicap. He had one other hole-in-one in 2006 on hole number 17 at the Edgewood Resort in Lake Tahoe.

Aside from golf, Charlie enjoys retirement and traveling with his wife Nadine.

Congrats on his recent ace!

Mike Clune retrieves his first hole-in-one golf ball!

Mike Clune Makes His First Ever
Hole-in-One

Howie Tiger

On Aug. 31, 2026, Mike Clune made a hole-in-one on the 16th hole of the Tuscany Falls West course. He did it while playing in the Bandits golf group. This was Mike’s first hole-in-one ever in his 62 years playing golf.

The 16th hole was playing approximately 138 yards from the blue tee to a back-right pin placement. His playing partners were Chris Bernard and Roger Johnson. Roger had hit first and his ball flew just right of the flagstick and disappeared over a slight hill on the back of the green. Then, with wind in his face, Mike hit his 8-iron shot with a high trajectory straight at the flagstick. His ball also disappeared over that slight hill.

Mike had approached the green first. He saw a ball about a foot in back of the green. He assumed it was his because it was on his line of flight. He checked that ball. Mike said, “It’s not my ball Roger, it’s yours.” He then said to Roger, “Where’s my ball”? Roger then looked into the hole and said, “Well, there’s a ball in the hole.” Chris then grabbed his phone and took some pics of Mike all excited. The celebration began.

Mike grew up in a Coast Guard family and never lived in any one place for more than 4 years. He went to high school in Elizabeth City, N.C., and graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in Business Administration.

He spent 25 years in the restaurant and bar business in Corvallis, Ore., and Boise, Idaho. In 1998 he followed his interest in construction to establish Clune Construction operating in Boise and later in Palm Desert, Calif.

While in Boise, Mike began a side business boarding horses on his 12-acre ranch. That led to becoming a member of the National Team Penning Association where he competed in Team Penning and Team Sorting.

He did not play golf on a regular basis until moving to PebbleCreek in 2021.

Congrats to Mike on his first hole-in-one. Hopefully more to come!
