Hikers tackle Arrowhead Point

Pete Williams

Twenty hikers from the PebbleCreek Hiking Club did a loop hike up to Arrowhead Point in Peoria on January 26. Right behind the camera is a view down to the Arrowhead Lakes housing development. This is a very unusual view for Arizona – lots of water. Arrowhead Lakes has canals, docks behind the houses and even boats; a view straight out of Florida (though Florida doesn’t have any natural hills or mountains to provide the views we enjoyed). On the hike that day were Joe Clarkson, Jim Gillespie, Ron Hoffman, Nancy Love, Pete Williams, Sarah Kutkiewicz (our youngest hiker ever), Dennis Zigmunt, Karen Kutkiewicz, Todd Kutkiewicz, Kay Thomas, Linda Vaughn, Ruth Bindler, Wayne Wills, Ann Rohlman, Bill Baxter, Diana Bedwell, Wayne McKinney, Steve Johnson, Dana Thomas and David Schuldt. We are now scheduling up to 11 hikes a week covering three hiking levels ranging from 4 to 12+ miles. For more information about the club please visit our website at pchikers.org.
