Highly skilled PebbleCreek (PC) Billiard Club members have completed another season of 8-Ball and 9-Ball tournaments in the PC Billiard Room. Both are 8-week, round-robin events played as part of the club’s year-round pocket billiards series.
At the close of the late fall season, Harold Erker earned his 8-Ball Grand Championship title by winning 56 games and raking in a total of 65 points. (One point is awarded for each game won, plus a 3-point bonus for each weekly mini-tournament victory.)
Second- and third-place finishers in 8-Ball were Clay Beeson (53 wins, 59 points) and Jim Padgitt (48 wins, 51 points), respectively. Other tourney competitors include Marv Schrock, Gary Weaver, Chuck Johnson, Mike Finnegan, Jim Sykes, Joe Armbruster, and Butch Schoen.
9-Ball Grand Champion Clay Beeson took his tournament victory with 48 game wins, 60 total points. Runner-up was Mike Finnegan (47 wins, 50 points) with third-place honors going to Marv Schrock (43 wins, 46 points). Additional 9-Ball competitors include Joe Armbruster, Bill Wise, Jim Padgitt, Harold Erker, Butch Schoen, and Chuck Johnson.
8-Ball tournament play takes place in the PC Billiard Room Mondays at 2 p.m. 9-Ball tournaments are played Thursdays at 9 a.m. To join the PC Billiard Club, pick up membership information at the Billiard Room on the west side of Tuscany Falls Clubhouse, just down the hallway from the Renaissance Theater entrance.
