Six lucky Glass Arts Club members are taking three four-hour sessions learning how to make stringer plates that can then be turned into works of art to display and/or use as platters and bowls. Fellow member and glass artist Susan Herriford is sharing her expertise after using this method in some of her past creations. This picture was taken in the glass studio of the Creative Arts Center before the start of our second class. We are holding our stringer plates looking forward to the next step, which is cutting our glass into strips to make the bargello pattern that Susan, far right, has started. Another project for our third class is to be determined, and we can’t wait!
