The mission of the PebbleCreek (PC) Genealogy Club is to educate and support the members of the PC genealogy community in genealogical research, including computer databases, offline records, and source documentation.

Please join us in the Palm Room on the second Monday of the month from 9 a.m. to noon. All PC residents interested in genealogy at whatever level are welcome to join us.

The PC Genealogy Leadership Team is Judy Husk, Marilyn Kinnie, John and Kathy Koch, Jackie Jenkins, Barb Downey, Jayne Parise, Erick Riswick, Marsha Wallick, and Larry Johnson.

March presentation: Mark your calendar for Monday, March 13 at 10 a.m. in the Eagle’s Nest Palm Room. Larry Johnson will host our meeting. Our guest speaker from 10 to 11 a.m. will be Debbie Branning, outlining how best to research historic and “haunted” cemeteries—it should be very fun and interesting.

When you arrive, please sign in. The Welcome Table is in the back of the room—use the second set of double doors to enter. Sign in at “Members” (those who have paid their 2023 dues) or “Guests” (if 2023 dues have not been paid).

Jayne Parise, treasurer, will be collecting dues for the 2023 calendar year. Dues are $25 per individual or $40 per family. PC residents interested in genealogy are welcome to attend two meetings before paying dues. A membership application will be available at each meeting.

Remember to wear your name badge! Don’t have a name badge? Judy Husk will be taking orders for name badges. The cost is $5.50.

The first hour of the meeting from 9 to 10 a.m. is dedicated to tips and tricks in genealogy to solve your roadblocks or brick wall! Bring your laptop, your questions, your curiosity, and let’s work and share together to move our family trees forward.

Do you have a research question or need assistance in your research? Come and meet, 11 a.m. to noon, with a Special Interest Group (SIG) host who is available to you as a benefit of membership! SIG group leaders are specialists in their area ranging from a new beginners genealogy group to researching colonial America, Scotland, Canada, and Germany.

February meeting 2023—what did you miss? Jayne Parise discussed how to find, interpret, and create citations (sources) to validate our genealogy facts. Please contact Jayne for any questions about how to verify your family tree using source citations. Thank you to Jayne and Erik for hosting.

Donation request: We are actively seeking donations to purchase a computer overhead projector and microphone. Or if a member has these devices to donate, we would appreciate the donation.
