Mark your calendar for a special presentation at our November meeting on Monday, Nov. 13, 9 a.m. to noon, in the Eagle’s Nest Palm Room. Milt Ford will provide us with an inspirational presentation on military records in honor of Veterans Day. He is a speaker/instructor at the LDS Mesa Temple, and we are honored to have him join us.
Our Nominating Committee, under the leadership of Barb Downey, is seeking members who would like to be on the PebbleCreek Genealogy Club (PCGC) Leadership Team. You may get a call from the committee to share a little of your time during this upcoming season to contribute to our club.
Your Leadership Team has also been working on proposed bylaws for PCGC. Please review the bylaws sent to you and bring your questions to the meeting or to the leadership team. If you are a member and did not receive a copy, please contact Denise Beeson at [email protected].
What did you miss? In September, guest speaker Lee Anderson shared with us his stories, fact vs. fiction about the “real” cowboy history vs. the “reel” history of Hollywood. So entertaining! Thank you to Marsha Wallick and Barb Downey for their presentations on “Tips and Tricks on Western Migration Resources” and sharing best practices in genealogy.

The first hour of the meeting, 9 to 10 a.m. is dedicated to tips and tricks presented by the members. From 10 to 11 a.m. we will have a guest speaker. From 11 a.m. to noon will be the business meeting to review bylaws and presentation of the slate of Officers from the Nominating Committee.
The PCGC’s mission is to educate and support the members of the PC genealogy community in genealogical research, including computer databases, offline records, and source documentation.
