As noted in another article in this month’s PC Post, not all the activities are to sew and construct items to donate to those in need. PC Quilters love to have fun, enjoy the friendship of other like-minded friends and want to see the latest in the art of quilt making.
On January 24, 52 women from PebbleCreek, Sun City Grand and others from the valley, boarded a bus for the Road to California Quilt Show in Ontario, CA. The bus trip has become a tradition of three-days of perusing the many quilt vendor booths to discover the latest in the industry, enjoy the many competition quilts and the awards, bus to a fabric discount store, attend lectures/workshops and learn from fellow quilters.
This year the trip was particularly memorable when the President of PebbleCreek Quilters, Jean Fry, won a Bernina sewing machine the first day. Her name was chosen from hundreds of convention attendees.
Life is good when you are with friends that love to do the same activities you do and have a passion for creating.
