With your help last year, we were able to donate $1,457 to the Stable Influence Charity Program and hoping to raise even more funds this year. The mission of this program is to provide therapeutic horseback riding for both youth and adults who are mentally, emotionally and physically challenged. The money raised is used primarily to decrease operational costs so that the fees for all of the riders do not need to be raised. This is a wonderful program but is not covered by insurance for the families participating in horse therapy.
Our 15 year old special-needs granddaughter, Katelyn, has been riding weekly from September to May since 2006. She enjoys riding, but we believe she is walking today because of how horse therapy has improved her core body strength.
