Camping4Girls Chapter Q News

Chapter Q installs two new members

Ronnie Levine

Camping4Girls Chapter Q sent four girls off to camp for a week in June. The Heritage Elementary girls were so excited, as were their families. For most, it was the first time they were away from home. Going to camp is such a rewarding experience, teaching them skills that will serve them well for the rest of their lives. They gain confidence and see that they are able to trust themselves to make good choices. They also get to make new friends and get closer to their existing friends.

This month we will have a “reunion” at Golden Corral where we will hear more about their camp experiences. The girls will also receive school supplies for the 202627 school year in accordance with the school’s requests.

Our members meet monthly throughout the year in the PC Clubhouse. We also meet with the chosen girls throughout the year, and we keep in touch with the girls who attended camp in the past while they are still at Heritage Elementary.
