The Field of Dreams is getting upgrades.

Needless to say, the ballpark is quiet (not really) as our Field of Dreams undergoes some upgrades. To start with, the parking area has been expanded and fresh blacktop has been laid down, and fresh parking striping has also been applied.
The roof on the storage shed is being replaced and the area known as the Crow’s Nest, where the announcers and scorekeepers reside, will also get some upgrades.
The season that ended in April marked the 31st year of play for the PebbleCreek Senior Softball Association (PCSSA). When you look back at the history of this great league, it all came about because a group of guys got together and approached Ed Robson to build a ballfield. The league, like waist sizes, grew from two teams to 24 teams.
The PCSSA, however, has not slowed down as a new warmup area is being prepared for players to warm up before their game. This area will consist of a batting net, pitching rubber, and a home plate. Pitchers and players will be able to loosen up before their game to help avoid any injuries.
October is just around the corner, so get ready to see your neighbors and friends once more enjoy a game that many played when they were just kids.
