The PebbleCreek Republican Club (PCRC) inducted into service two newly elected officers for 2023. Taking over the leadership role of President is Patricia Moore, with Linda Sweet serving as Treasurer. Susan Bergstrom will continue as Secretary, and Vicki Streeter has been appointed Vice President. With Patricia at the helm and the assistance of the PCRC Executive Board, the club is excited for all the fun and educational opportunities available for the coming year.
The January PCRC Membership Meeting will take place on Thursday, Jan. 5 in the Tuscany Falls Ballroom, with the social time starting at 6:30 p.m. and meeting to commence at 7 p.m. The club will have a guest speaker from the city of Goodyear to share with us the Goodyear General Plan. Come learn about one of the most important documents that our City Council relies upon to guide its vision for our city. Every 10 years residents vote on a plan developed in a strategic process called The General Plan Update. Residents are very involved in each step along the way. The plan addresses a broad range of community issues including commitment to water conservation, safety, public vacant land use, and other issues crucial to our city. It is sure to be a very informative presentation, so please don’t miss it.
Also, Professor Nick Damask will present a snapshot of his much-anticipated Lecture Series entitled, “Out of the Ashes Towards a Republican Future.” The first session begins on Jan. 18.
