Don’t let the holidays stand in the way of your fitness. Instead, team up with a friend or family member and join the Yule Log Challenge (as in You’ll Log your Workouts).
Participants in this Fitness Challenge will log their exercise miles throughout the month of December (from 1 to 31) whether on foot, bike or in the pool—and whether on the golf course, pickleball court or aerobic classroom. The key for the two-person team is to exercise and log your miles. All forms of exercise count in this challenge.
There is no advance registration required. Team log sheets will be maintained in the Eagle’s Nest and Tuscany Falls Fitness Centers, with persons recording their actual miles accomplished or for classes and sport participation at the ratio of three miles for every hour played. We’ll track the various teams’ progress on the bulletin board throughout the month to keep exercise front and center during the holiday season.
As an incentive the top three two-person teams that log the most miles will be awarded tee shirts from the Cool Down Cafe.
