The fall and spring 2022-23 bocce season for the four leagues is over and for the second season in a row the first place winner is the team of Rolling Thunder.
When asked how they managed to win despite adverse conditions, a team member was heard to explain their years of experience, team cooperation, and dedication to the sport—all were certainly contributing factors to their win.
Several hundred Creekers play the game of bocce despite adverse conditions (hot days, cold mornings, windy conditions, monsoon rains, early morning hours, wet courts, airplane noise, aching bones, etc.) participating in the fun, social interaction and personal challenge that is the game of bocce.
Come one, come all—age is not a factor in the game of bocce compared to other competitive sports that can be a challenge to our advancing age here in PebbleCreek.
