A simple granite upgrade job turned out to be a major, expensive project. To significantly reduce the project cost, Sandy Horvath, Villas HOAs VP and landscape manager, began talking to some homeowners who were interested in volunteering to fill dirt patches in front of the Villas. He needed more volunteers, so he put out a call for help, but wasn’t so sure anyone would answer. After all, he was asking for many hours of back-breaking work.
“I figured if we could get volunteers to help with the project, we could save money, so I put the word out. I was truly overwhelmed by the number of neighbors who showed up to help. I can’t thank them enough for helping save thousands of dollars and making our community so beautiful.”
The landscape company was contracted to complete the bigger job of filling potholes in the back of the Villas caused by heavy rains over the years.
