At the May meeting, club members enjoyed an informative presentation on composition by PebbleCreek artist Diana Matney. The presentation covered ways to improve photos by using concepts as simple as “Rule of Thirds” to more exotic concepts such as “Fibonacci Spirals.” Even though we primarily think of these relative to photography, Diana pointed out that these were concepts discovered and used centuries ago by Old Master painters. The June meeting was a change of pace and allowed club members to take a break and relax at a pool party at the TF Oasis. The July meeting, open to all PebbleCreek residents, will feature a presentation on visiting Machu Picchu the hard way, backpacking along the classic Inca Trail from Cusco, Peru to Machu Picchu. This meeting will be on July 15 in Room 100 in the Eagle’s Nest Activities Center at 6:30 p.m. In addition to general meetings, the club sponsors events at areas of interest all around the valley and beyond.
