The Women’s Giving Circle (TWGC) of PebbleCreek held their second annual Packing Party on March 14 in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom. The event supports Go With The Flow, a local nonprofit that provides menstrual hygiene products to students and residents of shelters who might otherwise go without.

Initially a simple home-based effort, the TWGC Packing Party has become a communitywide event, engaging and relying on the talents and resources of countless PebbleCreek residents. This year, for the first time, we were able to pack the supplies into 1,000 hand-sewn bags that were donated by our community sewers—a significant upgrade from the flimsy plastic bag that had been used in the past. Several individuals sewed bags, added buttons, and helped to create a meaningful gift that will be used long after the initial supply of products is gone.

Other residents donated thousands of supplies, made financial contributions, helped with set-up, and assisted with distribution.

In addition to our residents, the Goodyear community has also been supportive of this effort. This year, not only did we double the quantity of bags but also the number of folks at the packing party. There were 60 TWGC club members and their friends in attendance at the second annual Packing Party, each were treated to Crumbl Cookies courtesy the new bakery on Estrella Parkway.

One of the most exciting aspects of The Women’s Giving Circle is seeing, repeatedly, how generous and engaged PebbleCreek is with the Goodyear community. We are so grateful for everyone’s support. Thank You!

TWGC club members and anyone who is interested in learning more about The Women’s Giving Circle of PebbleCreek are encouraged to attend our annual Spring Meeting, which will be held on April 7 in the Chianti Room of the Tuscany Falls Clubhouse at 7 p.m.
