TV Dinners Are Back

It’s time to play games as the summertime hit “TV Dinners” returns on Friday, June 21, in the Tuscany Falls (TF) Ballroom and continues on July 26 and Aug. 9. Tickets for the June dinner go on sale June 3 in the Eagle’s Nest Activities Office. The cost is $30. These funfilled evenings brought to you by your Recreation, Activities, and Food & Beverage departments will provide you with a buffet dinner and the opportunity to meet some of your fellow summer Creekers, while becoming part of the afterdinner entertainment, an audience participation game show.

“It’s all about getting out of the house, meeting new people, eating, and having fun,” says Melissa Kallett, director of recreation, and master of ceremonies (MC) of the night. “Folks can come alone, as a couple, or with a group of their friends. When you buy your ticket at the Eagle’s Nest Activities Office, we’ll assign you a seat and encourage camaraderie with your tablemates for the night. At the end of the night, diners will leave having met new friends and having had a good laugh from all the fun.”

For each TV Dinner, the TF Ballroom will open for bar service at 5 p.m., with the dinner buffet at 6 p.m., and the TV game show soon thereafter.

The first TV Dinner will feature the game “Majority Rules,” where tables will answer questions posed by the MC. There is no right or wrong answer, rather the Majority Rules to determine the correct answersuch as, “Biggest celebrity who really isn’t a celebrity” and “Name a sport that is not really a sport.” The buffet that night will be “homestyle” to include fried chicken, meat loaf, potatoes, salad, and a brownie. Attendees needing glutenfree or other special diet meals need to specify when purchasing their ticket.

Mark your calendar, and plan to attend these summer happenings! The July TV Game Show will be “Lyrical Lyrics” and in August “Liar, Liar.” Tickets for each dinner go on sale approximately two weeks in advance of the dinner.
