Jonnie Chandler
Lieutenant Colonel (USA Retired) Alan and Mrs. Jonnie Chandler invite you to a fundraising event, Tunes, Boots, & Berets, in the Chianti Room, Tuscany Falls, from 5 to 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 11. The proceeds from this event support the Captain Jeremy A. Chandler Leadership Scholarship at the University of North Georgia.
Captain Chandler served in the U.S. Army eight years and deployed four times, one deployment to Kosovo and three deployments to Afghanistan. Captain Chandler was a Green Beret serving in the 3d Special Forces Group, 1st Battalion, ODA 334 (HALO Team) when he was killed in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
PebbleCreek residents Al and Jonnie Chandler established the scholarship in 2005 in memory of their son. The Captain Jeremy A. Chandler Leadership Scholarship serves to ensure our future military leaders receive financial assistance to complete their education. To-date 18 scholarship recipients are currently serving in the U.S. Army.
The scholarship endowment is held and managed by the University of North Georgia Foundation, Inc.
Tickets can be purchased from Al or Jonnie Chandler by email at [email protected] or by calling 912-713-4357.
