On March 19, The Women’s Giving Circle of PebbleCreek held its biggest fundraising event of the year, Date with a Plate, which attracted over 300 guests and showcased remarkable community spirit and creativity.
This year’s event featured 20 beautifully decorated tables, known as tablescaping, where each table reflected exceptional artistry and design. Attendees enjoyed a stunning display of creativity that added to the afternoon’s charm.
One of the highlights of the night was the silent auction, filled with unique experiences that drew bids from generous attendees. Prizes included wine tasting parties, mentalist events, as well as gift cards to wonderful local restaurants and salons. Special contributions ranged from exquisite, fused glass artwork to handcrafted charcuterie boards, along with lessons in quilling and soap making—ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy.
The proceeds from Date with a Plate benefited the Agua Fria Food Bank, and this year’s efforts yielded an impressive total of nearly $20,000, almost double the amount raised last year. This significant increase underscores the impact and dedication of the community’s support for local needs.
Looking ahead, The Women’s Giving Circle Club is excited to announce their annual spring meeting on Thursday, April 10 at 4:30 p.m. in the Chianti Room. The meeting will feature Mary Kay Utecht from the PebbleCreek Rotary Club as the guest speaker, offering further opportunities for community engagement and collaboration.
