The Pet Companions Club Needs Your Help

Jim Ellison, President

As many of you are aware, Marge and I are retiring from the Board of the Pet Companions Club at the end of our current terms. Marge, vice president, will retire on Dec. 31, 2023 and I, as president, will retire on Dec. 31, 2024. We have been doing animal rescue for over 40 years and it is time for us to move on to other things and enjoy the freedom to travel.

If the Pet Companions Club of PebbleCreek is to continue as a nonprofit after Dec. 31, 2024, certain things need to happen. First of all, we need residents interested in seeing this animal rescue organization continue to step forward and become board members. We currently have one vacancy for a Director at Large. We also need residents interested in filling the positions of President and Vice President to make themselves known to us.

Secondly, we are desperately in need of individuals interested in dog, cat, and bird rescue to volunteer to take over those duties. We need people with a passion for this and need time to train you on what is involved so a successful transition can be made.

Realistically, we need all this to be set up and in motion by December of 2023. If we do not have individuals in position to move into those vacancies by December 2023, the board will start the process to dissolve the nonprofit effective Dec. 31, 2024.

If you are interested in supporting us by volunteering your time in any of these areas, please contact me as soon as possible. Thank you!
