On October 18 at 8:15 a.m. at Eagle’s Nest Tennis Center many of PC tennis players were arriving in full dress ready to check in and do battle. Jill and Jerry Santy, at the head table, did the check-in and court assignments. Coffee, juice and donuts were served before everyone left for their courts. A total of eight games played, in three rounds with different partners, was a fun format. 70 members ate lunch that was very appropriate for the occasion. Jeanne Schimmelpfennig and all her volunteer goblins did a great job and how festive for the season! Jeff and JoAnne Braun cooked all the brats as well as home made fresh sauerkraut; excellent. Thank you everyone who helped set up and clean up.
Our tournament/social on November 21 was a Thanksgiving social. More details next month.
Christmas is sneaking up quickly. The Tennis Club party will be here before you know it! Our gala is December 19 at Eagle’s Nest Ballroom with check in at 5:30 p.m. So put on your best duds and your high heels and dance the night away with Tommy Holloway. We promise a full evening of entertainment, a catered dinner, dancing and many laughs. Tickets are $17 and guests are $27. Deadline is December 11. Two programs, Thursday night mixed doubles and The Comfort Court are at 6:45 p.m. every Thursday at Tuscany. Bernadine Helriegel reports the Comfort Court is doing very well. Tennis Club meetings are held the first Wednesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. at the Tuscany Tennis Center. Jerry Santy is our club president and can be contacted at 623-271-7996 for more information.
Tennis Club membership is $30 for the year which includes league play, use of ball machine and participation in monthly club socials. Social membership is $15 per year.
