The winds, the dust and the rains blew in just as our April 26 Tournament/Social got underway. Nine courts were filled for play when the rain started. Being the tennis troopers that we are, everyone crowded into the tennis hut in good spirits. Lunch was brought in earlier than usual, a variety of delicious combo sub sandwiches, cold salads and cookies. A bundle of laughs, socializing and great gift cards from several local restaurants, our President Jerry Santy, raffled off. It was a great way to end the day!
May 2, Bye Bye Big Babies. A non tennis tennis social, hosted by Jerry and Jill Santy, put together an enjoyable get together on the Eagle’s Nest tennis patio including snacks and light refreshments. We all said our goodbyes to the snowbirds for the summer and wished them a healthy and happy send off. Not a cloud in the sky, just a cool, light breeze and smiling faces.
There will be more socials coming up in the summer months for our tennis club. A different format for tennis play and light lunch for the summer heat will be planned. Stay tuned for more details with dates and information.

Men’s drop-in is open to all skill levels, open all year and to nonmembers. Play is every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Play begins from 7:00 to 8:30 a.m. at Eagle’s Nest courts. For more information contact Ken Minichiello at 623-217-2173 or 419-356-4010.
Ladies drop-in is open to all skill levels, open all year and to nonmembers. Play is every Wednesday beginning at 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. at Eagle’s Nest courts three and four. For more information contact Rana Cukierski at 630-290-2514.
Mixed Doubles Tuesday Night is 3.5 plus level of play at Tuscany Courts. For more information contact Marty McAllister at 623-535-1784.
Mixed Doubles Thursday night 3.0 level of play is at Tuscany Courts and open all year, also to nonmembers. Sign up is required via email to Bernadine Helriegel at [email protected] by Tuesday 12:00 noon.
