We already showed you five of our 2015 campers, so here is Ruby, our sixth camper. Ruby wasn’t available the week the others went to camp so she went the following week and, of course, had a wonderful time. It just thrills us to be able to provide this wonderful experience for these adorable girls!

Can you believe that it’s already time to begin planning how many of our beautiful T.T.T. poinsettias you will want to order this year? Our annual fall fundraiser will begin the latter part of this month and continue through October. T.T.T. Chapter P is already planning for all the excitement that comes with the holidays in December.

For those unfamiliar with T.T.T. and what we do, it is very simple. We are part of a 104 year old national philanthropic organization that has one goal: to send deserving, underprivileged fourth grade girls to accredited camps for one week in the summer. This means we provide everything they need for this experience, which includes clothing, camping gear, transportation to and from camp—the works. The funds for us to reach our goal come from our two fundraisers, Butter Braids in the spring and poinsettias in winter.

We are delighted with the quality of the plants we receive from our new supplier. The plants come in a 6.5” pot, have a height of 14.5” to 16.5”, and are available in red or white. We will still charge only $10 per plant. Here’s a little about our supplier:

Armstrong Nursery provides poinsettias for hotels and casinos in Las Vegas as well as in southern California and it is where Gardner’s World and many other nurseries get their clippings for starting their poinsettias. Here is some additional information about Armstrong Nursery:

* Over 100 years of growing experience

* Superior soil media gives plants an added advantage

* Long-lasting, show-ready appearance at delivery.

* Plants are never stressed, giving a better performance

Since these plants are so healthy and beautiful, we want you to be able to enjoy them as long as possible. We are planning on taking delivery of them on the last Saturday before Thanksgiving.

There are several ways to place your poinsettia order. We will be taking orders at the Eagle’s Nest ticket kiosk from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. every Monday in October. Please note that we will be there for only one hour each Monday. Or you can place your orders through any T.T.T. Chapter P member. Also, PebbleCreek residents can order through the e-group. If you prefer to order by phone, you may call Laurie Overson at 535-4322.

The response from our PebbleCreek community in the past has been tremendous and we hope you will support our fundraiser again this year. We thank you for being a part of this worthy project. Together we can change the lives of young girls—one girl at a time.
