On April 17, the members of T.T.T. Chapter AZ-P gathered in the Capri Room in the Tuscany Falls Clubhouse at 8:00 a.m. for a packing party. We organized and packed all the supplies we had purchased for our campers and made sure that everything would be ready to go when camp time comes in June. We checked to be sure the girls’ names were on their sleeping bags, backpacks and suitcases, as well as on each item of clothing. With lots of us working, we got everything put together quite quickly. It’s exciting to see everything come together and to visualize our camper girls using the items and wearing the clothes and having a wonderful time at camp. Everything we purchase for them becomes theirs to keep after camp is over.
Following the packing party, we had a delightful brunch and Wii bowling party, at which we were joined by some of our Chapter Q sisters. This was our second annual such activity. The first one was so much fun that we have decided to make it an annual event. We may be members of different chapters, but we are all T.T.T. sisters and we have a wonderful time together. It was a great way to build the feeling of sisterhood.
The sound of laughter could be heard throughout the Chianti dining room during the Wii bowling, as many of us are not very familiar with the game. Fortunately, being skilled was not a prerequisite for having fun. In fact, those of us who were the least skilled probably had the most fun! We wish to publicly express our sincere appreciation to Dolores Rippe and her committee members Wendy Neely and Becky Gardner for organizing a truly Fun Day.
