Won’t you take me on a sea cruise?

Whoo-we, whoo-we baby. The PebbleCreek Shalom Club embarked on another wonderful cruise along the coast of California. Our one week trip began in southern California on April 25 and sailed its way up the coast of California and back. The weather was unbelievably warm and beautiful and the seas were as calm as glass. Sightseeing, dining, relaxing and fun were on the agenda for the week and many of our Shalom Club members are already asking about another cruise for next year. It’s always a sign of success when everyone leaves the boat smiling and looking forward to a return. Kudos to Marsha Langfuss and her team for making this second cruise a major success.

As the snowbirds are leaving and our last meeting is on the horizon, the Shalom Club still has a list of events and activities in the works. June 22 brings us our second annual Ice Cream Social/Movie at 7:00 p.m. in the Chianti Room at $2.50 per person (no charge for prospective members). We are presenting Crossing Delancey with Amy Irving. Members can sign up on the website: www.pcshalom.org and mail their checks (by June 15) to our treasurer Carl Schatz. If you are a prospective member, please contact Gail Drucker, membership chair at [email protected], 623-374-7801 for further information. Many of our board members will be on hand to meet and greet you at the door.

The fall brings more exciting events and annual celebrations: Shalom Club goes to Kinky Boots September 17; September General Meeting is September 21; October 4 is Break the Fast dinner. If you have an interest in Jewish traditions and history, you are welcome to join us at any meeting for a preview of our club. Phil Zeidman (our president) [email protected] or Gail Drucker (our membership chair) will be happy to answer any questions or set up your attendance.

Shalom!
