In March, T.T.T. Chapter P was delighted to meet our 2015 campers at the pizza party where they, along with their families, were introduced to some of our chapter members. The party was held at Barbara B. Robey School, which the girls attend. We are pleased to be sending six girls to camp again this year, which is possible only because of your wonderful support of our fundraising efforts. In fact, you made both our most recent poinsettia and Butter Braid sales our most successful ever.

These girls will attend the Willow Springs Girl Scout Camp in Prescott this month. All their supplies, from toiletries to sleeping bags, are in readiness. Each girl has gone shopping with her mother and two T.T.T. members for camp clothes and all those clothes are packed into the girls’ brand new suitcases just waiting to go to camp. Chapter members will drive the girls to downtown Phoenix to catch the bus to camp and then pick them up from the bus when they return. We know the campers will thoroughly enjoy their time at camp and come home filled with wonderful stories of their adventures and accomplishments.

In April we held our third annual Brunch and Wii Bowling Party in the Chianti Room. We were pleased to have some of our Chapter Q members join us for this. The brunch was delicious, the bowling was fun and a good time was had by all. Many of us are not familiar with Wii Bowling and we were very grateful to Jerome Sims for helping us.

T.T.T. is a national organization of women that was formed in 1911 for the specific purpose of enabling underprivileged fourth grade girls to attend accredited summer camps. Even a century ago, the positive life-changing effects of camp were realized and many T.T.T. campers have grown up to become T.T.T. members so that they can help other girls to have the wonderful experience they had. We thank you for helping us keep the camp experience available for deserving girls in the Goodyear/Avondale area.
